Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions: Amsterdam Future Walk

1. Booking, Confirmation, and Pricing

  • Securing Your Spot: All ticket prices are listed in Euros (€) and include applicable local taxes. To secure your place on a tour, full payment must be made online at the time of booking.

  • Contract Formation: A binding contract is formed once we issue your official booking confirmation via email. It is your responsibility to review this confirmation immediately and notify us if any details (such as date or time) are incorrect.

2. Booking & Payment 2. Changes & Cancellations by You

  • We understand that plans can change. You may cancel your booking up to 14 days before the scheduled start time of the tour and receive a full refund.

  • If you need to adjust your plans, you are welcome to rebook your tour free of charge up to 2 days before the start time, subject to availability. The new tour date must fall within 3 months of your original booking.

  • For cancellations made less than 2 days before the tour start time, we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or rebooking.

  • Please note that, in line with applicable EU consumer law, the 14-day statutory withdrawal right for distance contracts does not apply to bookings for leisure services provided on a specific date or period, such as scheduled tours.

3. Arrival, Punctuality, and No-Shows

  • Strict Schedules: Amsterdam’s streets are busy, and our groups move on time. Tours depart strictly at the scheduled hour.

  • Early Arrival: We kindly ask all guests to arrive at the designated meeting point 10 minutes before the tour start time to check in with the guide.

  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive after the tour has departed, you will be considered a "no-show." For the comfort of the other guests, the guide cannot halt the tour or wait for late arrivals. No-shows are ineligible for refunds, credits, or alternative rebookings.

4. Safety, Physical Fitness, and Limitation of Liability

  • At Your Own Risk: Amsterdam is a historic city featuring uneven cobblestones, active tram tracks, and exceptionally dense bicycle lane traffic. While we take care to plan safe and enjoyable routes, participation in our walking tours is at your own risk to the extent permitted by applicable law.

  • Physical Capability: Our tours require a moderate amount of walking and standing. Guests are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable physical health to complete the duration of the route.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, the operator, its partners, and freelance guides are not liable for personal injury, illness, property damage, or loss or theft of personal belongings, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

  • Supervision of Minors: Parents, guardians, or group leaders retain full legal responsibility and active supervision over minors in their care at all times during the experience.

5. Code of Conduct and Right of Refusal

  • Mutual Respect: We strive to provide an enjoyable environment for everyone. All guests are expected to treat their guide, fellow travelers, and local residents with courtesy and respect.

  • Substance Abuse: Due to Amsterdam's unique nightlife landscape, we enforce a strict policy regarding intoxication. We reserve the absolute right to refuse participation or immediately eject any guest from a tour—without a refund—if they are visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if they smoke/vape in a manner that disturbs the group.

  • Disruptive Behavior: Any guest exhibiting aggressive, discriminatory, unsafe, or highly disruptive behavior will be removed from the tour immediately.

6. Media Release and Photography

  • Privacy: To help protect the privacy and comfort of our participants and tour guide, we kindly ask that you do not photograph or film other guests or the guide without their prior consent.

7. Force Majeure and Operational Disruptions

  • Unforeseen Events: While we always aim to deliver our scheduled routes, certain events remain outside our control. The operator is not liable for tour alterations, delays, or cancellations caused by "Force Majeure" events, including but not limited to public transit strikes, sudden road/square closures by authorities (e.g., demonstrations on Dam Square), pandemics, or extreme safety alerts.

  • Severe Weather: Our tours operate rain or shine. However, if the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) issues an official Code Red warning that makes outdoor walking unsafe, or if, in the reasonable judgment of the tour operator, weather conditions pose a risk to the safety of participants or the guide, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In the event of a cancellation by the operator due to weather-related safety concerns, you will receive a 100% refund or the option to rebook free of charge.

  • Guide Unavailability: In the event that a scheduled tour guide becomes unavailable due to illness, personal emergency, or other unforeseen operational circumstances, we reserve the right to arrange a suitable replacement guide where possible or to cancel the tour. If the tour is cancelled by the operator for these reasons, participants will receive a 100% refund or the option to rebook free of charge. No additional compensation shall be due.

  • General Provision: In all cases of cancellation by the operator under this Section, the refund or rebooking offered is intended to be the full and final resolution. This is without prejudice to any mandatory statutory rights.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • Legal Framework: These Terms & Conditions, and all agreements concluded with us, are governed exclusively by the laws of the Netherlands.

  • Place of Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes or claims that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer protection law.
